I'm hoping that I don't get drawn into this again, but the reason why crime
against the elderly would go up is because firearms make all people who know
how to use them fairly even when it comes to 'force'. ie: an 85 year old
wheel chair ridden woman can kill or fend off an 18 year old physically fit
musclebuilding kung fu expert.
Making them vunerable increases the attacks by the vermin who prey on the
weak.
