Anglo Parts!

I sent a fax to Belgium on the evening of the 18th about 8 pm and I
just received a package from Anglo Parts by UPS Express this morning at
10 am! I just sent for a few small parts for my Bugeye that are not
available from the usual suspects. A new vacuum line with flame trap
and all the hardware was $30.00 US. I bought a few other small items
just to test the service. They deliver!
Was at the local foreign parts dealer here in San Bernardino that
has been selling LBC parts for over 30 years to buy some bullet
connectors for the re-wiring job I'm doing the Bugeye right now. While
I was there she mentioned that she found some old points that would fit
my distributor while looking for something else for another customer.
Seems these points have been on the shelf since 1992 and that's the
price she sold them to me for. These are supposed to be high
performance points with a heavier spring to keep the points from
"floating" at high rpms. Their application was for Mini-Cooper ro
other 1275 type A-Series high performance engine. Well, I've got a 948,
hardly applies to my engine, but I just had to have them when I saw the
Lucas box and wrapping paper inside. Oh Boy!
NOS parts! (Not trying to start the NOS thread again.) Anyone heard of
these points before? They come apart and have to be assembled in the
distributor.

P.S.: If anyone feels they need these points, she has one more set.
