Don, as we used to say in Oklahoma, "you're screwed"!  The magic
elixir contained therewith is gone and can only be repaired by a full
rebuild.  This rebuild is often as expensive as a new gauge.  If you
need an addy for a rebuilder let me know.  Regards, Larry.
