hey now, remember that i'm a college student here. i can barely afford to
eat some weeks (ok it's not that bad, but you all remember being 21)! the
"we tight" club is made for me! the lovely white tonneau has a nice big rip
in it, and unless i can sew it myself it's staying that way for awhile!
custom hee hee hee :) i'm planning on being a teacher, so i'm just going
to throw that word out of my vocabulary right now, before it embeds itself
too deep!

It could be an older offering. I have a white top for a Mk III Sprite but I
have not seen one offered for some time. Your larger manufacturers don't
give a rats ass what you want. Like Henry Ford said, "you can get it in any
color you like, as long as it's black".
There are some smaller companies that will do custom colors but they are a
bit more price wise. If you get one, keep your mouth shut, or you will get
kicked out of the "We Tight" club.......................... I have a torn
and tattered tonneau for the Mk III that I am thinking of having repaired
rather than replace it <G>

That reminds me, I've been meaning to ask what color the original tonneau's
were. Mines white, and I haven't seen any other white one's for sale (or on

cars for that matter), but then again it's white, so I'm thinking it can't
be original, otherwise it'd be at least yellow, if not brown by now.

I don't know if this type of representation occurs elsewhere

(undoubtedly it does) but ebay sellers seem to be continually guilty of
representating something as NOS when it really is not. This auction is for a

Bugeye tonneau. No picture. Seller can't/won't send pictures. Seller states
in private email that it is not in a box. His only claim to its source of
manufacture is that an anonymous vendor told him that it was a factory
tonneau.
