What?........ Are you brain dead? I responded to your second
email.

Alaska alone is about 12 times the size of England , that makes it 1
fifth the size of the U.S. or 20 %,
to me this is a significant amount. I have 30 acres here and an error
of 20% is 6 acres, how would you like the appraiser to miscalculate by
that amount?

What kind of teacher did you say you wish to be? I certainly hope it
is not math.

That's where the second email came in. With the US at over 3 million
square
miles taking them out didn't change it very much.

Patricia,
Are you aware that Alaska and Hawaii are not part of the
continental
U.S.? Leave them out and it will make a big difference in
stats.

P.S., There is a movement in Alaska to divide the state
equally and
make them 2 seperate states , just to make Texas the third
largest
state!

Oops, that was the whole US, with territories and all. With
just the
continental US it's a tiny bit less, but not enough to
change the
numbers
anywhere but after the decimal point!

Good grief, I need a hobby! That's been the most exciting
part of my
day so
far! HELP!

UK 39 (plus less than 0.1) times
England 73 (plus less than 0.1) times

Serious question (pub quiz coming up
soon.....)

How many times can the UK (or even just the
nasty english
bit) fit into the
surface area of the continental US.

First correct answer wins a cracked
distributor cap.

Have a guess
