After driving my bugeye for the last few months pretty consistantly, and
my honda not so consistantly I'd have to say that I enjoy the fact that
the bugeye is somewhat difficult to drive. 2nd then 1st, i still have to
say it outloud when i'm at a stoplight so that i don't grind the gears. I
don't yet have a stereo in the bugey, but i'm working on it, and even
though it's more "civilized" than my non-ricer honda, i don't plan on
listening to vivaldi at low levels once i do have a stereo. if i do
listen to classical music it will be at full blast, the same as punk or
whatever else. my dad had a B back in the '70's, and i know that for him
it was a sports car, but not a snobby sports car, it went fast, and he
looked cool in it, but he didn't think he looked classy. personally i
think my bugeye has more funk (and i mean that in the george clinton
groovy kinda way, not the dirty socks kind) than class and that's fine.
it's not a muscle car, but it's certainly not my grandmas buick either,
and that's the way i like it!
