Rob,

Every ribcase I have has a date stamp on a  flat, wide boss at the back -
bottom end of the main bell housing. If you were to stand the gearbox on
end, bell housing on the floor. it is a flat area facing straight up. The
date is in dd-mm-yy format. I have about 7 or 8 ribcases and all but one is
stamped that way. Reverse switches weren't fitting until '68 I believe.
