Wasn't this the final of junkyard wars?

The one I saw had some kind of British v8 fed with SUs which was kinda
exotic on a homebuilt frame and "dullie" tires on the rear. While the other
was half of a motorbike with an axel and chain feeding the sprocket welded
on the rear axel, a sort of "trike"

The "trike" won... but most likely due to the others misfortune. The v8
powered roadster's auto tranny died so they made a pass using reverse. Then
somebody had the idea to reverse the axle so they could at least go
forwards. They almost won with one gear too.

Amazing stuff these guys do in one day.
