The BF (rubber) Hammer on the bugeye bonnet is nothing compared to what
a friend of mine saw at the Mini factory a couple years ago.
He is heavily into Minis and his tour of the factory was not a scheduled
tour. As he watched a person finish installing a door, the door did not
meet at the top and bottom so the guy stuck his knee into the door
bottom and yanked the top out. Then it fit, on to the next Mini.
The same holds true on square bodied Spridgets at least up to 1970.
If the bonnet edges match both fender lines, it's over restored!
I do believe BL made slight changes to the bonnet on RWA and RB Midgets.
So if you have a Sprite and your bonnet doesn't sit right, It is correct
and original.
