My pcv valve went nuts in this mannor back when my sprite was on the road.
The smoke screen was so thick it was hard to see when I came to a stop and
all the smoke was still going forward. Probably sucking oil down the intake
and it eventually foulded the plugs. When my sprite gets back on the road, I
am going to put a variable PCV valve in there so I can experiment with how
much suction is enough to keep leaks down, but without sucking oil all the
way through the intake. Maybe even rig a switch in the cockpit! Smoke screen

Perforated PCV valve diaphragm? Sucks oil through into the manifold when
the trottle is at idle and the manifold vacuum rises. Brake servo unit
perforated so it sucks brake fluid into the manifold?
Sorry, I cannot think of anything else other than cracks or gaskets.
