check locally for a hydraulic repair facility that does rebuilding of floor
jacks and their related cousins. you might find a rebuilt good national
brand for a very good price! and if nothing else, you can inquire about
wich brand they see most frequently for service and what fails on wich
brands. we have a shop locally that does "all" the hydraulic repairs for
this type of equiptment. they are very good at what they do too! (and not
cheap!)
also check to see if you have a local distributor for "shop equiptment".
if so inquire as to if they have any traded in equiptment. prices are
usually pretty fair and sometimes you can get a super deal on a piece that
someone decided was not large enough for their facility and did an upgrade!
just a few alternatives to going out and buying a brand spanking new piece
of equiptment that might out live you and a relative!
