I'm not sure if it is a future car, or a parts car or part of a future car.
I kept my options open when importing it.

I wanted the engine, but had to take the rolling chassis, if I wanted it.
Brakes, steering, suspension, fuel system, exhaust and drive train. Add a
cooling system and a battery, and it should run. The rostyles were replaced
with other wheels.

The rear of the car has been replaced before, by the looks of it, and it is
twisted. I haven't checked the car over completely, but the sills, floors,
cowl, a-posts, doors, engine compartment and 'new' bonnet look nice enough.

Chuck got slowed down at the border because the Bill of sale did not have a
price on it and he needed proof that I had requested him to act for me to
bring the car across. I got the phone call at about 4pm. I had to drive to
the border ( about an hour ) to bring a receipt and picture id. Fill in
some of your story here Chuck!

He showed me pictures of some of his cars. 'Baby pictures', he calls them.
Pretty involved work, in some cases.

My wife's plans to have a pleasant supper by the pool got postponed a bit
due to the stint at the border and we ended up having supper in the dark by
the pool. I couldn't really see clearly what it was that I was eating.

Chuck left for the border at about 10:30 in the lust wagon. I lead him to
the proper exit to get him going and then headed home to get the Midget into
the garage. When I got everything shuffled and packed in, I reached out the
big door and entered the code to trigger the door. I watched to see that
the door was not going to catch anything and then I turned around and
realized I wasn't getting out through the door at the back. The door at the
back also has the only door opening switch in the garage. Doh! To make a
long story short, I shorted out the wires to trigger the door opener. Then
I realized that I couldn't get into the house through the front because the
bolt lock was on. Doh! I ended up climbing the fence to the back yard. I
got to bed at about 2am.

Shouldn't we have heard from Chuck by now?

    Robert,

It's good to hear that the bashed RWA is going to a good home, rather
than
being parted out. As far as chuck is concerned, what can I say! Wait
till
you see his tow vehicle (he calls it the lust machine)!

chuck is definitely larger than life. And be prepared, he will talk
your
ears off. If you think he rambles on the list, about toys, Saabs, old
Chevies, hillclimbs, his son...he is much worse in real life! But, you
gotta
admire his work and his incredible knowledge, as well as his stash of
stuff.
Just be careful if he hauls out his torch.

Good luck with the new car.
