If you use the digest, you cannot thread the emails
which makes it impossible to discard a whole pointless
thread.
If you feel the thread is going pointless in the
digest, you still see it go by. With a good newsreader,
just nuke it all.
Sadly, the thread often comes back on topic, and
you never know. It's the group's loss, really.
