Yesterday I got up at the crack of dawn (okay about 7am) in order to get
myself and my boyfriend about 25 miles south for a car show. The weather
was perfect and except that he has no clutch the cars were doing great.
UNTIL!!! I try to stop at a red light. Thank goodness there was no
traffic, though I did stop in time using the emergency brake. But we
decided to head on, about 23 more miles (we're idiots i know) and got to
and from the show with no more failures. The large puddle of brake fluid
on my floormats is leading us to believe that the brake master cylinder is
shot. There also is fluid on top of the cap where i usually top up my
brake fluid. Does our diagnosis seem reasonable? and is there anything
else we should check while we're in there?

On a side note the b/f picked up a set of fiberglass rockers for his B,
not only did we not know such a thing exsisted the box indicates that they
were once a JC Penny cataloge item! Bizzare.

TIA
