Good point (as usual!). Yeah, the "properties" in water would probably
be
different than "air", no doubt!

But, too little time in the radiator is a
major cause of overheating at speed with
"marginal" cooling systems to begin with 
combined with other factors as in
"off boost" induction compression heating
of the incoming charge a la vane-type blowers, thermostadt instead of a
blanking
sleeve in really hot ambient outside air temps, etc.

You're right; a thermodynamics "whiz" is
definitely called for.

Now that I am home from recent airline
trip and reviewing "mail", shall go forward in this respect to see if
one (Ron?) ever
surfaced in this particular thread!

Ahhh, but won't more time in the radiator to dissepate heat mean more time in
the engine to pick up heat???   Where is Ron Soave when we need a lesson in
thermodynamics?
