Ron Davies of the San Diego Austin Healey Club Has modified his Bugeye 
windscreen pillars so
he can fold down his windscreen like a Healey 100.  Might get someone in the 
San Diego club
try to explain how he did this.  You could put the small aeroscreens behind 
this kind of a
windscreen so you could have the best of both worlds.
