"But the Judson is not for the faint at
heart".....

Correctomundo, Mr. Oliner, as I learned
very quickly!!

No, the Judson is not for the faint of heart
because 100+RON gasoline is no longer
available at the corner gas station at
"reasonable" prices!

Of course, if you don't mind spending
about $7.00 a gallon for 115RON
racing gasoline (and have this readily
available as well) the foregoing and
following does not apply. While I am
in this position, I personally do not
care to put myself at the mercy of such
a supply for obvious reasons!

To run Judsons successfully on today's
"garbage" octanes, you must know
the engine specific to your application
(or know someone who does and where
to find him; as in David Vizard, f'rinstance) along with the expected
changes which will be REQUIRED in
cooling, ignition timing, induction and
exhaust systems, etc., or, it
ain't gonna work! BTDT and I am not
the "expert", yet. Still much to learn and
still learning (and having a good time
doing it!!). Water injection is the next
step and I am learning from Dean Hedin
as he goes along in this project. This
sounds very promising in it's ability
to "restore" octanes.

While not a "rocket science" thing,
you also must do your homework in
terms of reading everything you can
get your hands on in terms of supercharging and it pays to become
familiar with the principles of turbo-
charging as well, just to increase your
basic general knowledge of "boosted"
applications. Jon Peck's Shorrocks
(British Judson counterpart) website
is an excellent source of basic information
on low-pressure supercharging with respect to Series "A" applications.

You guys are getting good prices for
your units on Ebay!! Hilarious!! Oh, well
"let the buyer beware" as they say; so be
it!! :)
