Dave,
Originally, the plinth was attached from the inside with two large flathead
sheet metal screws and two single fold speed nuts on the plinth. In case you
are
unfamiliar with speed nuts, they are a flat piece of sheet metal with a single
screw thread pressed into the hole. Single fold type have the thread hole and a
through hole and are folded in half so you can slip it over the tab on your
plinth and it stays in place to help installation. The two large holes through
the tabs on the plinth are where you slide on the speed nuts. Get someone small
to crawl in your boot area to put in the screws. Alternately you can order the
fastening hardware from Victoria British on page 124 look in the upper left of
the page for illustration numbers 12, 13, 14 and 15. It would probably be
cheaper if you went to an Ace Hardware store (some have a section of automotive
fasteners) and get some speed nuts and sheet metal screws to the right size and
a
couple of washers for behind the screw head. This is not rocket science.
