Be careful, you don't need a lot of power - even for "big things".  A 6 amp
automotive battery charger is plenty of "power" to clean your MGA frame.
Using the welder may be more hazardous than beneficial.

I cleaned a Spridget tub with a 12v 6 amp charger in a couple of days using
4 electrodes and 200 gallons of electrolyte.
