i have been invited to bring my bugeye down to display in the paddock area
during this event. my car ran there back in the early 60's and is
considered an alumnus. so i will be putting it in the trailer with our
formula ford anf getting a ride down in the tow vehicle. i'm not up to a
drive of that nature yet. so i'm a passenger for this event and crew chief
for thr formula car for the weekend. i might even get invited to do an
interview up in the tower! i am reorganizing joe puckett's H-mod over the
hill gang. this is an organization aimed at vintage H-modified sports
racers and early D sports racers. at VIR i will be making the public
announcement of the organization's being ready and accepting memberships.
(see letters to the editor in may issue of victory lane). so i think it
will be a huge weekend for old chuck! have i bitten off more than i can
chew? i do not believe so, but only time will tell.
roflmao! hey why not! i own one of these sports racers and would like to
encourage others with these cars to bring them out and participate by either
showing them or driving them in open competition again. so i'm trying to
serve a portion of the vintage race comunity wich has little to no
representation. btw! some of the racers were bmc powered!
