I know Carrello ... I almost had Carrello headlight rims on my bugeye
when I sent my original rims out to the plater years ago. The local shop
does some real nice work, including the chrome on one of Ralph Lauren's
concours Mercedes, but they sometimes aren't so good at keeping the parts
orders together. When I got my parts back, I was surprised to find some very
large rims marked "Carrello" instead of my bugeye rims.
Couple of days later I got a frantic call from a Cape Cod restoration shop
who thought I might have gotten their headlight rims by mistake. Seems they
were for a Maserati of which only seven cars were made!
I put a set of Carrellos on my 1972 Fiat 124 Spider when I bought it new.
No way I was going to screw a set of Lucas lights on that. They were high
quality and bulbs were the standard H1, H2 type.
