It shouldn't.  I haven't put my 1500 blocks on engine stands, but I have my 
1275.  I think if you use washers under the bolt heads and draw them up tight 
you should have no problems.  I don't remember how much larger the holes are 
than the bolts.  My 1275 has been on the stand for a few years now.
