Never mind.

On further inspection, after I had taken a 2 hour ride o get a set of
washers, the crank is trashed. Well so is the rear main cap, but that
can be fixed following the instructions in a article in one of the
first Sprite&Midget mags.

As far as the 5-speed is concerned, it is together, a bit (well a lot)
more of a hassle than expected, but still doable. More on that later.

I have a "borrowed" 1500 to put in for now until I can figure what to
do with this one. At the minimum I need a crank. Givers?? Beyond that I
have to wait and see till after this is back together with the other
engine. Then I will take a long look at t my engine to see what can be
done. This is a real pain as I had just built this engine last year.

To all that responded to my Emergency plea today, THANK YOU.

Also a very big thank you to Allen H, Kevin V, Dave Y, and of course
the big c, chuck christ.

Also a bit of thanks to Bill gilroy for making some phone calls on my
behalf when the s hit the proverbial fan.

I think this is the first OSHIT weekend that really went OH SH^T.
