Ok , i got it apart..
and everything looks great! no undo wear, no scarring or breakage, no cracks
or scoring..the sequence of clutch plate assemblies looked the same for
either side.
the "clutch" discs are NOT what i expected.. they are just metal plain
discs. they have what looks like one directional, machining/sanding.. marks
across the diameter of each disc( as if they were faced on a belt sander)
there is some wear accross these, and some minor "shinning/polishing effect"
on the clutch disc surfaces, but they are not polished smooth by any means.
all the gears looked good, as far as i can tell. the cluster gear pins were
not scored or worn .

so now what? are the discs supposed to have some other surface finish? or a
friction material?
the "spring washer" cone/dish shaped washer (first piece out, last in)
looked fine,, could it have lost its needed spring tension/pressure?
it was a little polished on the edges but no real wear problem.

what does anyone suggest? new clutch pack discs anyways? a diffrent oil?
how much of what oil mix?
i "shuffled" the discs, but kept them in the same sequence hoping to maybe
provide "virgin" surfaces to each plate.
is there supposed to be a "spring/cone washer on both outer ends? or just
the one?
HELP!
