I hooked up a vacuum gauge to the manifold of a 948 cc engine. At idle the
reading is at about 15 in. with the pointer waiving slightly. When the RPM is
raised the reading heads to zero. However, the waiving of the pointer becomes
larger. Is this normal or what is the reading suppose to be telling me about
the condition of the engine?
