It was a fabulous day. Just what LBC car owners want them all to be. 80
degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Local car cruise fund for a cure
show. Took "Little Bits" out for the first time on her own with no
suport vehicle or trailer. Ran great, looked great, lots of positive
comments. 325 cars & we were the only LBC, (there was an enormous Jag
sedan, MKII weren't they?). After the cruise we took a ride all around
the county park roads and racked up a total of 25 miles. 67,000 mile
motor, replaced the thrust washers and rod bearings, almost no smoke
now, guess it needed exercise more than anything, 185 degrees, 30-40 psi
oil, no clue as to speed, the 165-13s are a bit tall and throw it off
pretty good. I'll have to research the speedo gear in that used tranny
and see if I can get a combo to work. Any thoughts? Can't be too good in
a rally if I pass the turn by a couple miles, eh? The weather is
supposed to be like this all week, so we're going to drive, drive, drive.
