Discovered that D.S. Motor Mount on Bugsy is partially
collapsed and only one bolt can tighten properly as
screw is stripped from vibration. This may account for
rather violent motion of drivetrain when car is put
into reverse as well as rattle/ shaking from the
drivetrain at >4000 rpm. Car seems to drive ok at low
speeds but really noticeable in reverse. Anyway
ordered new motor mount. How tough is this to replace
without yankng motor out. Can I loosen DS and PS
Mounts and simply put jack under oil pan and raise the
motor up enough to change the mount. Any other places
of attachment that need to be loosened? Thanks.
