Mike-

On my PO's '67, all we had to do to know
which side went where was look at the
twisted spllines!!

Somewhere in it's life, it had the hell
abused out of it, obviously.

Put 25K on that car before
a large-ish Arthur Ave. Baking truck
knocked it off the road early one morning,
and never had a problem with the halfshafts, including about 3,000 miles
of Judson driving.

"Smooth" I am but obviously, lucky in
this respect as well.

When these are "hardened", they are
undergo this process at the hub only?
