funny in retrospect but a friend of my father's tried to loose as much
weight as possible to win a championship back in the 60's.   he became so
sick he ended up bed ridden for a while regaining fluids and some weight!
and...yes it worked!   he won!  but holly cow was he sick!  (and very weak!)
