The header bar has to be unglued from the old top, cleaned and the new
top fitted
properly to have it all come out right.

Not an impossible job for the DIY'er but
this is what is probably behind Moss'
recommendation to have the top fit
"properly" the initial time around by a 
pro as this could easily turn out to be
a "pay me now, or pay me later" sort
of thing, considering (dare I mention?)
"shrinkage" will need to be taken into
consideration to some extent as well,
with respect to the specific type/grade
of material.
