Mike. Yes it is. Remember, we are an English settled colony so we use 
what they gave us. Inches, miles, pounds, etc.
But English mileage on their cars will differ from ours. They have more 
gas in their gallon. Imperial gallons.
So all you people across the pond, why didn't you give us ALL of your 
measurments? Why is a gallon different over here?
