Use a "suitable" drift or punch.
It should pop right out. If it's on the back wheel, watch the w/cyl 
and/or brake adjuster. There is a clearance problem at those points.
The new stud will fit in just the right spot, keep rotating the axle til 
it drops in. And then you say "how did I just do that?"
