Hey ALL,
I have a 1979 Ford E250 vans with 351W engine. (I have restored the
body). The engine is shot (no oil pressure and loud main bearing knock)
and I need to "swap it out".
I also have a 1979 E150 with a 300cid 6cyl in which the body is shot but
the engine is in excellent condition. I've made this swap before and I
know it is possible and fairly easy, but I'd like to stay with an 8 cyl
in the E250 so I don't need to change the engine mounts, radiator and
all the other stuff that is different between the 6 and 8 cyl installations.
Question is; Will a 302 fit in where the 351W is now? I'd like to
rebuild the 351W and put it back in later, but I need to use the van
while rebuilding... I could locate a 302 fairly easily but the 351
seems to be scarce in my area.
