How in the world, knowing Phil's recent experience,
could someone use that as an example?
This list used to be a great place for information and
intelligent, playful banter. Those I have met I now
number among my true friends. But the last few months
seem to be filled with cynicism, thoughtlessness,
narrow mindedness (BTW, it seemed awfully clear to me
that the intent of Andy Weaks' post was not to compare
anyone to Hitler, but to caution people from letting
the hype of a cause take over the power of freedom of
thought), and just plain crankiness. The worst of
Ed's rants in the old days now seem quaint, don't
they?
