This is what I do not underestand about
this alleged "notice of proposed" law....
there was no emissions equipment for
a Bugeye. So who pays to retrofit it with
whatever? I mean I can't even see a
catalytic converter being added because
you've got no heat protection for/from it.
And who pays for all of this "required"
by the state for a vehicle not so produced
by the manufacturer as there were no
pollution laws back then. No other state
requires it...the Federal government doesn't either.
I hope all vintage car owners, marque notwithanding, origin
notwitstanding,
foreign, American or whatever, join hands
and fight this idiotic bullshit as these
"antiques" must make up all of 1/1oth of
1% of all registered vehicles in CA., if
that. This idiot ought to be impeached
for "frivolous" activities for as far as law-making goes, their must
certainly be more important matters
to attend to. He is irresponsible and
negligent in his duties on behalf of those
he serves. How about a more efficient
law having to do with fighting real crime
as in rape, robbery, murder, drugs, child
molestation, etc. What sort of a no brain
jerk is this guy?
The clubs should get together, hire lawyers and start proceedings to
have
this "heavy thinker" removed from office.
