Assume float level was correct and, as
importantly, fuel to bowl shutting off fully
when level is reached. Webers work at
1.5psi. I am not familiar with the 1500 or
it's mechancal pump in terms of the psi
it puts out. 

Until you can get this sorted, why not
try a full .10 move smaller on your main
jet(s), if only for the hell of it while you
await a response from Weber Tech.

Then change the oil and filter to get
rid of the oil contaminated by gasoline. I
don't know how much gasoline has gotten
into it or how many miles you have driven
the car or how long this may have been
going on but, this "mixture" doesn't lubricate very well and the
contents of
the sump may be becoming a bit
"incendiary".....best to get rid of it, maybe?
