25 years?!!? Wow...I am impressed. Good, dry storage for sure. How many
actual miles on this pump as this could be a consideration in
replacement.
SU points type pumps go gradually,
usually. They stop intermittently. You
tap them with a hammer and they go
again for awhile. You could by a new
one and carry it with you as part of
your kit, of course.
Usually, you can just open up the old
one and clean off the points/contacts
and keep on trucking, also. But, if I
were planning a series of long trips
wtih the machine, I'd be carrying a spare
anyway....cheap insurance so to speak.
