I looked into McMaster-Carr's catalog at http://www.mcmaster.com/  They 
show clevis' on page 1047 that should, with a suitable length of 
all-thread, fit the brake rod application, and the prices are pretty 
good.  Moss Europe had an "adjustable" brake rod (no longer stocked) that 
was pretty similar for around $80.
