You will have to make some sort of sub frame under the Bugeye to hold a 
trailer hitch. Weight is not a big problem but attaching it to say the 
bumper irons won't do it in my opinion.
I would come off the frame inside the trunk to the bumper irons with 
some 2" x 1/2" steel flat stock or some 1/4" thick angle iron to give 
you some real support. Anything less will just tear out the bumper irons 
or trunk floor.
Maybe a look under some modern front wheel drive no frame plastic car 
with a hitch will help you decide just what is needed.

The later midgets had a box frame member into the trunk, that one would 
be easy.
