I recently asked for a recommendation for an electronic ignition for my
Bugeye, which has a stock 948 and a Lucas DM2 distributor. The overwhelming
response was for a Pertronix. My next question is: Which model Pertronix? Most
listings I see for the 948 Bugeye specify a Pertronix for a 25D Lucas
distributor. I don't think I have the wrong distributor (based on the
literature), but it is a DM2, not a 25D.
What exact model Pertronix should I purchase? Can anyone recommend a vendor?
