ok you speedy race car types! i'm looking for an old fashioned type reverse
lock out . home made, store bought, no matter. any of the race cars out
there that have a spare in the bits and pieces that you have sitting about,
i'm interested. (or possibly from an ex race car that was returned to the
street?) rusty, to chrome plated, i'd like to get the lock out with the
coresponding tin shift cover it is or was attached to. if not, at least
some pictures might be helpfull for me to fabricate one?
now i have in the past seen really trick ones with spring loaded detents to
hold it down and ones with a hair pin clip to hold it in place to ones that
just laid there vibrating about. seriously any version is of interest to
me! i'd prefer one that is used and is period from the 60's if at all
possible? and i realise this is an item wich most owners of street cars
are sitting reading this saying"a reverse lock out? what the heck is
that?". if you have ever driven in a spirited fashion and accidently found
"reverse" in a forward motion, you'll understand.

chuck.
