I had a Walbro fuel pump semi die when I was down in Maryland.
Ask Biff, we had to nurse it home for 50 miles or so.
It would work then stop. When I stopped, it worked fine.
I think I was using fuel faster then it could supply the carb.
Anyway, it clicked but did not pump with much gusto.
Also next time it quites, pop the fuel cap, if you get a rush of air,
the vent hole is rusted closed.
