Your setup is correct but there was a changeover for the shim 
placement to the opposite side for later cars beginning with 
GAN5-114487. This coincides with the changeover from the Morris Minor 
rack to Triumph rack. If David switched racks however, which I seem 
to recall he either did or was considering, then this could be part 
of the problem.
