I ran down 3 perfectly good gear reduction
starters with the same problem on a "new"
battery...burned out the contacts 'til your's
truly finally figured out that "undervoltage"
under load hadda be the problem.
Sure enough:
Good "static" test....bad "dynamic" test.
Battery was never good to begin with...
mech never checked it dynamically.
Steaks and brewskis were on him for a
while! :)
