Stupid me! I removed the pistons from the rods on this goldseal 1098.
The book mentions somehting about putting the gudgeon pin clamp towards
the cam. Of course I have the "later" engine and the book says...

Are you ready for this?
Replacement of the piston and connecting rod is a direct reversal of
removal.

Swell! If I only marked the rods "front" like the pistons are marked, I
would be fine. But no marks and with a 50/50 chance I will get it wrong
99% of the time. Sort of like modern electric plugs that only fit 1 way
but EVERY time I go to plug it in, it's the wrong way. So I took my
trusty grinder and fixed that problem :) I don't want to grind the rods
to make them fit ;)

So does anyone know if the larger offset goes on the cam side or the
"other" side?
