Flounder:

I think watching Dr J eat a little dust--titanium rear springs and all--will
be worth the price of admission. I'll be there with the "Works Midget"
beating on the Fiat 850's oiling the track. But you didn't mention the REAL
draw: the final erection (did I say that?) of that infamous
metropolis...Thicko Village!

BTW: Someone pointed out to me that a photo of me, Nigel Faxen-Modum, at
the wheel of said Works Midget at speed, decorated the write-up of the Gold
Cup Historics at VIR in the August issue of Vintage Motorsport. Chuckster
was there....but he only brought a two-stroke tobogan of a car. No wonder
the cameraman skipped him this time.

Hey youse guys,

If you're looking for a nice getaway weekend, and want to see some of the
best Sprite racing anywhere on the planet...

The VSCDA is having its first ever race at Mid Ohio Oct. 17-19.
http://www.vscda.org/sched.htm

Of particular interest to you race fans... Tom Colby of Speedwell has built
a new Sprite to take on Dr. J. Depnding on the track, Dr. J (a friend of
mine) has the fastest Sprite on the planet. (At $70k, you could have one
too.) But, in my opinion, Tom Colby (also a friendof mine) is the best
Sprite driver I've ever seen (not taking anything away from our Sprite
counterparts across the pond... maybe, someday, we can organize the
equivalent of the 1990 Healey Challenge for Sprites here... wouldn't that be
fun?). Back in the days of the Sprite Mini CHallenge, Tom beat Dr J at Mid
Ohio.

There should be a fair amount of East Coast, and Southeast race Sprites
present as well.

Hope you can make it.

WST
