You're preaching to the wrong choir!

Nobody is disagreeing with you except
the factory who felt the prior system
used on 1275's (with rear wheel cylinder
change as reported by Bob VK) was perfectly satisfactory for the stock
1500
daily street driver.

Since you are not talking an unreasonable
upgrade in capacity, which, without an
ABS system might result in directional
control problems when the pedal is truly
"pressed", I think your idea of a "little
more" for any reason, inclusive of those
contained within your post is
perfectly reasonable and just fine for those who feel a necessity in
this respect
(on any car).
