Thread-topic: Off season?
Heh heh! All the comforts of home. :)

I've heard rumors that the winter on the east coast is supposed to be
snowy like last winter. But I know how to stop that - I need to go buy a
snowblower! ;) As soon as I buy one, it won't snow.

I'm actually looking forward to it. I haven't been able to wear my mink
since I left NY, and I've been wondering what to do with all that arctic
gear that the Navy gave me when I was in Alaska. Lamoille canyon looks
like
it's on fire. I can see up most of the Ruby canyons from the front deck.
The snow we had last month seems to have melted off the peaks. One nice
thing about being retired is not having to leave home unless I want to,
and
if we get an Oregon winter (2" of glare ice with 1/2" of rain on top of
it),
I don't plan to go anywhere. I studied winter driving in N. Idaho, and
fine-tuned my skills in upstate NY. I doubt the Gods of Winter can throw
anything at me that I can't handle. I have wood for the stove, charcoal
for
the bbq, a brand new garage for the MG, a warm cat to snuggle up to, and
a
liquor store very close. Let it snow!
