Hi, Gerard....

Funny you should mention this for the
NY Daily Snooze reports our federal,
state and local law enforcement agencies
have recently joined foreign law enforcement agencies in Operation Cyber
Sweep as they originate a program to
finally seriously address (globally) cyberscams.

The spoof messages thus far are purported to originate from "security"
at
AOL, PayPal, Ebay, Citibank and
multiple British-based banks wherein
the recipients are "warned" of impending
"problems" with their accounts unless they
"update" (to the contained web address)
their credit card/personal financial info.

In addition to each one of the above's
real "spoof" or "fraud" divisions
the FBI & White Collar Crime Center have
joined forces and have opened the
Internet Fraud Complaint Center at
www.ifccfbi.gov

One easy way to see if the email is "good"
is to simply ignore the enclosed "response
address" and simply attempt to "reply" to
the address from when the mail originated
asking anything you feel like saying or asking for....

.....if the email is bogus, your "reply"
will come back as "undeliverable" for one
reason for another.

"Be careful out there"! :):)
