Does anyone have any other suggestions on what to do. Am I being too picky?
If I can't get a resolution, the way I feel right now, I will probably put
the TR3 up for sale.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I went thru this some years ago with an RX7. The only time you could really
see the paint color difference was if you stood 20 feet away and the car was
wet...but I still didn't like it one bit. The insurance company did finally
pay to have the car re-sprayed, but it was a struggle.

Another time on a 71 Saab, the insurance company never gave in, and I had to
spend the money on the respray myself.

How much for the TR3?

Trade for another BE?

The Supreme Court ruled there cannot be a nativity scene
 in Washington,DC this Christmas.
This isn't for any religious or constitutional reason,
they simply have not been able to find three wise men or
a virgin in the nation's capitol.
There was no problem however finding enough asses to
 fill the stable
